(posted Oct 1st) Tutorial and Assignment Policy Change

Dear CSB349 Students,

If you miss a tutorial/term test or cannot hand in an assignment due to the flu or flu-related illness then please read the following policy change:

We will allow students to scan/screen capture and e-mail their flu declaration from ROSI and/or their completed UofT approved medical documentation (located in your course manual) within one week of missing a tutorial, term test, or assignment due date. Within a week of being ill, we require that the original medical document be provided to us for final approval. More specific details follow. Please read these.

*Assignment Due Dates:*

We strongly request that students contact us before the assignment due date to let us know that they are sick and will not be able to hand in the assignment on time. This must be followed up by a flu declaration and/or the completed UofT medical documentation, which can initially be emailed to us. However, even if you e-mail us your medical documents, within a week of being ill, the original medical document must be provided to the CSB349 Office for final approval and your assignment must be submittedIf your illness lasts longer than a week, let us know!

We highly recommend that you get assignments done early, and if you happen to be ill on the day one is due, that you e-mail it to the course office. It is important to take control of the things that you can (e.g. not leaving assignments until the night before they are due), so that you can concentrate on catching up on the things that you cannot control, such as missed lectures, tutorials, and term tests. Past experience has shown that being proactive will pay off since you will be able to catch up on missed work much more quickly.

(posted Oct 1st) Term Test 1 Location

The location for the first term test is EX100 - Exam Centre, 255 McCaul Street. All students will be writing in this room from 9am to 11am on October 21st. Good luck and see you then.
